Household Water Data Collection Initiative
Systematic data collection and monitoring of household water access, quality, and usage patterns across target communities to inform evidence-based WASH programming, policy advocacy, and resource allocation.
Our Household Water Data Collection Initiative fills a critical evidence gap in understanding water access at the household level. We deploy trained community data collectors using digital tools to survey households on water sources, quality, distance to water points, costs, and usage patterns. The data collected informs our programs, supports advocacy for improved water infrastructure, and contributes to national and county-level WASH planning. This initiative particularly focuses on documenting the experiences of women, girls, and PWLDs who are disproportionately affected by inadequate water access.
